My wife and I have had the opportunity to bring four children into the world; two boys and two girls. Based on the fact that they were born into our family, I have a relationship with them. Since I am their father and they were born into our household, which gives them the birthright of relationship. The foundation of a solid bond with my four children is a matter of birth.

The same is true with you and God. By virtue of birth, you have a relationship with Him. It is your right and privilege to take benefit of that union. However there is another level that we are called to that makes all the difference in the world the level beyond relationship that is fellowship.

The Bible speaks more of fellowship, than it does of relationship. There is a big difference in the two. One is a matter of birth. The other is a matter of choice. If we are born-again, we were birthed into a relationship with our Heavenly Father. On the other hand, there is a higher calling on our lives it is the inheritance of fellowship. We inherited the right to have intimacy with God the Father.

    1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV)

{9} God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son,Jesus Christ our Lord.

The greatest calling that any of us could answer, is the call of fellowshipping with the Father. Before we consider any other calling, we should bear this in mind. Fellowship with the Father is the utmost invitation that anyone can have. It is greater than being called to any of the five-fold ministry gifts (Ephesians 4:11; I Corinthians 12:28).In actual fact without the proper fellowship with our Heavenly Father, it will be extremely hard to ascertain the reality that you are called to any other form of ministry.

One of the Greek words for fellowship is koinonia which means fellowship, association communion, joint participation, contact. We have been invited to fellowship, associate, have communion, joint participation and contact with God the Father that happens during prayer and meditation.

    1 John 1: 3, 5-7 (NKJV)

{3} That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

{5} This is the message that we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

{6} If we say we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, (ungodliness obscurity, immorality) we lie and do not practice the truth.

{7} But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin

According to verse six (6) walking in darkness is equivalent to walking in ungodliness, obscurity and immorality. I know that is strong but that is the definition of that word for that verse. Walking in darkness does simply not know where you are going. Jesus said that we don’t have to be that way (John 8:12). Walking in darkness simply means the absence of light the need for practicing the truth. Verse seven (7) exhorts us that as we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have the capacity to have fellowship with one another. Our fellowship with one another is an extract from our intimacy with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost (John 15:13-15; James 2:23).

Our association with one another speaks volumes about our fellowship with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

It will be extremely hard to have fellowship with one another without first of all having a fellowship with all three personalities of the Godhead. How can we say we love God whom we can’t see, yet be unloving to our brother or sister who we do see? ?(1 John 4:20-21). – Peace

A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. Proverbs 17:22

Have you ever been around someone that has a merry heart? hey are the kind of person that no matter what they are going through or the circumstances they may be facing; they seem to sail right through them with the greatest of ease.

This kind of person has learned something about life that many of us can also learn. That is: “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff.” To the person that is merry, nothing can get them down. They have learned to roll with the punches that life can sometimes bring; and they have chosen to be merry, regardless of their situation.

Proverbs 17:22 tells us that a merry heart does good just like medicine. Being merry is like taking medicine. When the doctor tells us to take a medicine, that medication is prescribed to make us feel better inside and out. Emotionally and physically we feel better because we took our medicine. That’s what being merry is like. It’s like doing what the doctor has told us to do and taking our medicine. Being merry is a matter of choice; it’s your decision. Being merry is like getting a check up, from the neck up. Being merry is like, “Check yourself, before you wreck yourself.” It’s simply your preference.

Did you notice what the rest of that verse said. It says a broken spirit dries up the bones. Dried up bones are the consequences of not being merry. Severe conditions are many times the result of not taking your medicine, of a merry heart. (See also Proverbs 15:13). In summation, it’s a matter of attitude.

Our attitude toward things is likely to be more important than the things themselves. -A.W. Tozer

    MY SOURCE

    Filed under: PROSPERITY;

Father, I thank-you, that You are “My Source.” My job is not my source. The economy is not my source. My provision is not limited to my job. My provision is not limited to natural things.

Father God, You are “My Source.” El Shaddai, is “My Source.” I look to You, for everything.

My God supplies all my need and my desires according to His riches in Glory. I have a “full supply” and I shall not, I do not, I will not want.

I am not high-minded, nor do I trust in uncertain riches, but my trust is in the “Living God,” who gives me richly all things to enjoy.

I live better than my job income allows and I am debt free. I am financially free to worship the Living God.
    So be it.

My definitions of Grace are God’s favorable regard, God’s favorable disposition for who we are. Grace is God’s ability to put you on top, no matter what you are facing (John 14:16-18, Amplified).

Grace is the favor of God in your life. You can try to do it in your own strength and find out that your flesh is no match for the enemy’s maneuvers. Yet, by the Power of Holy Spirit’s GRACE, satan, his cohorts, and imps, are no match for you.
