There is a term given to a man and a women that are not married that is called shacking up. This couple although not legal have made the decision to co-habit with on another. Before we gave our lives to our Lord and Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ you could say we were “shacking up.” We at one time were in a relationship with the enemy of or soul — the prince of darkness — satan. There came a time when we saw the error of our ways and we made the decision to give our lives to The Lord Jesus Christ. When that happened our adversary was kicked out. What I mean is this.

The Word of God makes it very clear that God has made His home on the inside of us.

Ezekiel 36:24-28 (NKJV)

{24} For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.

{25} Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

{26} I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

{27} I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. See also Ezekiel 10:19 20.

God’s word also declares that you are a New Creation, if you have given your life to our Lord and Saviour, The Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NAS)

{17} Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

When you became a “new creation,” the devil was kicked out. He doesn’t live in your house anymore. In other words he’s not shacking up with you anymore. Your spirit and satan’s spirit
no longer have a relationship. You could say that now you present you body to God, for it is the Temple of The Living God. God’s Spirit lives in you and permeates your spirit and soul. You are now filled with His fullness — think about it.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV)

{19} Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

{20} For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Your body is now His Temple, If your body is now His Temple, then you have entered an intimate relationship with Him. He is in you, and you are in Him. Some time ago I learned it as IN –TO –ME–SEE. God has established an IN-TO-ME-SEE ….INTIMACY… fellowship with us to the point that we are inseparably one (John 17:23).

If I didn’t know that the Word of God supports this, I would say I was trying to live a fairytale. But this ain’t no fairytale! This is the real deal. Again, God is in you by The Power of His Holy Spirit. His Spirit is within, and upon you. If you are living for Him you are no longer shacking up with the devil You are now in an intimate relationship/fellowship with your Heavenly Father. – AWM
