Before Jesus went to the Cross to redeem mankind legally, there was no hope for man. Why? Because man was and still is a free moral agent. God was not and will not violate man's free will. That is why Jesus came to legally purchase, buy back, the damage that Adam and Eve had done by committing high treason. The price was “His Blood”.
