TWIN TOWERS #2
Filed under: Spiritual Growth;No CommentsThe “Twin Towers” of the Spirit have been established on the inside of each of us by way of the “New Birth.” Now stop for a moment and think about it. The strength to keep the “The Unity of the Spirit” in the “Bond of Peace,” is a part of our new nature. At the “New Birth,” we received all the power necessary to sustain the status of the Towers
(2 Peter 1:1-10).
The might to support the Towers is deep within the well of your spirit. Once your mind, will, and emotions are really renewed to what is resident within you, “The Twin Towers,” will not have any trouble standing.
Ephesians 3:16 NKJV
{16} that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.
Colossians 1:11 NKJV
{11} strengthened with might according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;
UNITY OF THE SPIRIT: A united spirit, or oneness in spirit.
This refers to unity of affection, of confidence, of love. It means that we should be united in temper and affection, and not be split up into factions and parties. It implies that such a unity can only be produced by the Power of Holy Spirit, in our spirit. There was occasion, particularly among the Ephesians for this exhortation; for they were composed of Jews and Gentiles and there might be danger of divisions and strife, as there had been in other churches.
“THE MIGHT TO SUPPORT THE TOWERS IS DEEP WITHIN THE WELL OF YOUR SPIRIT.”
There is “always” occasion for such a petition for: “Unity” of feeling is extremely desirable to honor the Gospel.
There is always danger of discord, as people are brought together in one society. There are so many different tastes and habits; there is such a variety of intellect and feeling; the modes of education have been so various, and the temperament may be so different. There is constant risk of division. Hence the subject is often brought to the surface within the scriptures, and there is much need of vigilance in the Church.
THE BOND OF PEACE: The Love of God is the Bond
This bond is to be cultivated by a peaceful temperament, which binds us together. This means that we should be bound or united together in the sentiments and affections of peace. It is not mere unity within the forms of public worship. It is that which Holy Spirit produces in the hearts of Christians, when He fills them with the same love, joy, and peace, as we believe.
The Body of Christ has more Authority in this realm than we sometimes realize. We have at our disposal “The Power of the Supernatural.” The Father God wrought it, Jesus ught it and Holy Ghost taught it. It is our responsibility to catch what Holy Spirit has been saying. There will be those who will miss many of the benefits that are available to us, because we are living in an age where The Voice of the Spirit must be caught. Holy Spirit is a gentleman. He will wait for an invitation before He will take His rightful place in our lives. Our invitation to Holy Spirit is being a doer of whatGod has commanded us to do. In doing so, Holy Spirit has the legitimate right tomove in a imperial way in our lives. The Psalmist summed it up in this manner.
Psalm 37:37 NKJV
{37} Mark the blameless man, (woman) and observe the upright; For the future of that man (woman) is peace.
