    TWIN TOWERS #1

    Filed under: Spiritual Growth;

    9.11.01… a day that none of us will ever forget. The image of The World Trade Center imploding has been etched in my memory. For a longtime after the collapse of those monumental towers, all I had to do was close my eyes to relive the experience. The world will never be the same, because of this tragedy. Many of us remember where we were on that infamous day.

    I was in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, packing, and preparing to catch a flight back home. The more I watched the television, I knew I was going to be in the Tulsa Metroplex for a few more days. It wasn’t long and the network news let us know that air traffic had been temporarily suspended.

    Although the Twin Towers in New York City no longer stand, and is no longer in view, for the Church, the true believer, there are Twin Towers, that still stand. They will remain until Eternity rolls and time is no more.

    Ephesians 4:1-3 NKJV

    {1} I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.

    {2} with all lowliness and gentleness with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love,

    {3} endeavoring to keep the Unity of the Spirit in the Bond of Peace.

    The “Unity of the Spirit” in the “Bond of Peace,” are the Twin Towers of the Church. As long as the Body of Christ is still on this earth these two towers will stand. They are held together by the “Power of Holy Spirit.”

    Holy Spirit, Who has made His home on the inside of each of us, gives us the ability to do what is commanded. It is the responsibility of the Body of Christ — you and me, to utilize the Towers for the intent that they were created. We must first come to the conclusion that we are obligated to keep the Towers standing. If we find they have collapsed on us, it is because we have deleted our duty, to keep the “Twin Towers” stable. My friend, it is a calling, a command, a commission. It is our business, our vocation, to keep the Towers standing for all to see the beauty of that which was brought into existence. You might think, I have no control over others – I am bewildered because of the decisions of someone else. Unfortunately, that does happen, yet there is still something that you can do.

    John 16:33 NKJV

    {33} These things have I spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the
    world.

    Romans 12: 14-21 ~ The Coton Patch Version

    Bless those who do you in. Bless them, I say and don’t cuss them. Join in the fun with those having fun; join in the tears with those shedding tears. Treat each other equally; pay no special attention to the upper crust, but mingle freely with the lower class people. And don’t scratch each other’s back. Never return evil for evil. Have respect for things, which everybody else considers worthwhile. If it is possible — that is, from your side — WAGE PEACE WITH ALL MANKIND. Don’t take vengeance into your own hands, my dear one’s, but rather make room for another’s wrath. For the Bible says, “Revenge is my job,” says the Lord, “I will tend to it.” But if your enemy hungers, bread him; if he thirsts, water him. In this way you’ll fill his noggin with lighted charcoal. Don’t be overwhelmed by evil, but overwhelm evil with good.

    The decision is yours. What will you do? James 1:22 exhorts us to be doers of the Word, not just hearers. Please, do not allow yourself to become self-deceived.

    “WAGE PEACE WITH ALL MANKIND.”
