In our home, on our refrigerator, there is a placard entitled “Love Spoken Here.” Not long ago I pondered the message of the card. The message is simple, yet very profound. It means that our words to one another should be filled with God's Love for us as well as love for one another. Years ago I came across a little poem that depicts my subject.

~~ “WHAT IS LOVE” ~~

It is silence, when your words would hurt.

It is patience, when your neighbor is curt.

It is deafness, when a scandal flows.

It is thoughtfulness, for others woes.

It is promptness, when duty calls.

It is courage, when misfortune falls.

We must remember that our words and actions speak. They will speak the God Kind of Love or selfishness
