The Prince or The Fool
Filed under: Marriage; No Commentsby Anthony N. Wade
Every marital union with a man and a woman will have it’s challenges. I personally believe that the husband in every marriage is suppose to be the leader spiritually, emotionally and financially. The foundation of this thought is found in the Bible. It is the catalyst for every successful union. However, every woman has her part to play in the success of her husband.
Years ago I learned that communication is the foundation of life.
The power of a thriving marital relationship will be in how well the two communicate. The woman has a very intricate part to play in her husbands life be it positive or negative. She will either communicate to the prince or the fool in her husband. In my opinion every man has the potential of a dual existense. If he leans toward God being in his life, the prince will emerge. If he leans toward walking in darkness, the fool will come to the surface. The activator to which one comes to light is the one the wife chooses to converse with.I am reminded of the story of the gangsters Bonnie and Clyde. They were outlaws in the twentieth century. Bonnie had a tremendous impact on Clyde. Much of his endeavors were laced with the desire to please her. Why? Because Bonnie communicated to the fool that was in Clyde. They led a very scandalous life that ended by gunfire.
For scriptural references concerning this subject matter please see the following. Adam and Eve in Genesis 3 and 1 Timothy 2:14. Abraham and Sarai (Sarah) in Genesis 12:11-20. Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:1-10. The purpose of this entry is to ask a very probing question to the wives who are reading this. Are you conversing with the prince or the fool in your husband? The decision is yours.
