The Highest Degree of Love is The God Kind of Love. One of the Greek words for the English word for Love is Agape. Agape will have many levels of which we will discuss.

1. A Forgiving Love:

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said “Forgiveness is not an occasional act; it is a permanent attitude.”

Learning how to forgive is the smartest thing you can do. Recent research shows that holding on to anger increases your chances of a heart attack as well as cancer, high blood pressure; high cholesterol and other illnesses. Forgiveness boosts your self esteem and lowers your blood pressure and heart rate. Forgiveness also helps you sleep better at night and boosts a positive change in your attitude. Forgiveness is a decision you make to give up your anger and feelings of revenge (Romans 12:17-21).

2. An Endless Love:

Enduring forever; eternal, having no end in space. It forms a closed loop or circle.
Much like a wedding ring has no beginning and no end. The God Kind of Love has no end. There is not one thing you can do to change God’s Love for you; it is eternal.

3. A Selfless Love:

Concerned for others; not for one’s own advantage, pleasure or comfort. The highest degree of love enables us to run the way of God’s Commandments. The highest degree of love will always be based on principle—not emotion. It grows out of respect for the admirable qualities of others. The highest type of love will always recognize something of value in the person that is being loved -AWM
